The Final Sale

“A dance with the Devil at Heavens gate” sits as the final painting to be sold by Haser. The painting depicts the duplicitous life of good and bad, much like the fine line we walk between ‘Order & Chaos’, we also slide up and down the spectrum of ‘Good & Bad’. I don’t believe we are one or the other, bad mistakes can be foundations for good outcomes, good actions can be a disguise for bad intentions.

When the sale of these paintings were final, I had a sudden change of heart on the way my work was obtained. These paintings were an outlet for my perception of the world, a visual representation of my feelings and a catalogue of my mental journey. They help me understand how, where and when to take a stand in this world.

When there is no destination for these works, they can be created from an honest place, they take the customer out of the equation when creating and the allow a safe space for honest exploration that isn’t dictated by the buyer or the market.
